What information is collected and how is it used?

Your location

In order to provide you with a forecast, we send your current location co-ordinates to our API server. The API server then loads the forecast for your location from our forecast provider, AccuWeather. We do not share any user identifiers (including IP addresses) with AccuWeather.

We process your location when you open the app. If you have the tile, we process your location to update the tile once per hour.

We do not store or log your location or use it for any purpose other than loading the forecast.

Communication with our server

Communication with our API server will be logged, including the following information: time, IP address, user agent, page URL, and response status. Location information is not included in logging.

Logged HTTP requests may be used for debugging, or for anonymous statistics (such as view counters/graphs).

All communications with our server is done using strong encryption.

Third-party Services

We do not share personal information with third-party services.

Period of Retention

The server uses log rotation, meaning that any logged HTTP requests will be forgotten about after 14 days.

Location

Our API server is hosted in Germany. We may move your data to the UK or elsewhere in the EU.
